REV. DR. DORINDA ELIZABETH DEAN, D.D., PhD; M.Th., J.P.

Rev. Dorinda Elizabeth Dean, a native of Pinefield, Acklins – born to the proud parents of Wilmore (deceased) and Mother Florrie Stevens (deceased).

 

On September 8, 1968, she received water baptism and became the first official member of New Hope Native Baptist Church, Pinefield, Acklins.

 

Philippians 1:21 her favorite scripture: “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Her conviction is to make Christ visible to the world.”

 

Since then she has held almost, if not, all the gifts and ministries as mentioned in Ephesians Chapter 4 and 1 Corinthians Chapter 12.

 

In July 1991, she received the laying on of hands and ordination by Brother Hall, Cleveland, Tennessee; USA. In December 1972, Dorinda graduated from Bahamas Teachers College, Nassau, as a Trained Teacher. She has held many positions including administrative assistant, and Senior Mistress at Central Andros High School. She retired from teaching as principal while at Bowen Sound Primary School. After thirty (30) years of dedicated service. She is Founder and President of the Divinely Anointed School of Theology and F.E. Stevens Academy, Calabash Bay, Andros. She is recipient of numerous national and international awards.

 

She is a strong believer of the Great Commission; thus, she has traveled extensively throughout the Bahamas, the United States of America, Canada, Jamaica, Haiti, Africa and Cuba spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is a woman after God’s own heart; she believes that through prayer and fasting all things are made possible.
